HOW TO SAVE AT NEARLY EVERY RESTAURANT

It was a long day at the office and you just don’t want to cook, but maybe your budget doesn’t allow for eating out on a nightly basis.

All you need is access to the internet, have an active email address and about 5 minutes in order to save every time you go to a restaurant.

RESTAURANT CLUBS

Pick your favorite restaurants, go to its website, and sign up for its e-club, rewards program or mailing list. It depends on the restaurant, but usually once you sign-up you’ll get an email back that same day with a coupon. Most coupons are for a free dessert or appetizer, but some have buy one, get one meal offers. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of days to receive an email back with your coupon, but it’s still worth it for the future.

Here is a sampling of restaurant’s websites that offer deals when you join their “club.”

RESTAURANT COUPON SITES

Check out sites like BeFrugal, that offer multiple available coupons for national restaurants. Yelp is also another good option – simply use their search filter for restaurants that are “Offering a Deal“, to get a list of local restaurants that have promotions in your area.

RESTAURANT COUPON APPS

Check iTunes and Google Play for fast-food chain apps. McDonald’s offers “buy one get one, free” sandwiches and has free coffee vouchers on a regular basis. There are also restaurant-specific coupon apps, like Forks or even Groupon, that offer special deals on local restaurants, making it easy to access if you need those last minute dinner choices.
