5 S’MORES RECIPES FOR BACKYARD FIREPITS

Fall is almost everyone’s favorite time of year — the crisp weather, beautiful burnt orange trees and leggings with boots. Another fall favorite? S’mores!

Hosting or attending a bonfire every weekend gives reason to try creative variations of s’mores. If it gets too cold outside for a fire and roasting marshmallows, you can always put the marshmallow in the microwave for 10 seconds to get it the consistency of melty goodness.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER S’MORES

2 chocolate graham crackers
Reese’s peanut butter cup
Marshmallow

PEPPERMINT TWIST S’MORES

2 regular graham crackers
Peppermint patty
Marshmallow

DARK AND SALTY S’MORES

2 regular graham crackers
Dark chocolate square that has a hint of lite sea salt (Ghirardelli brand is recommended)
Marshmallow

CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRY S’MORES

2 regular graham crackers
One strawberry sliced into four thin slices
White chocolate square

Note: A different version of this one: Replace the regular graham crackers with chocolate graham crackers and replace the white chocolate with dark chocolate.

The options are endless and it is always fun to try out new s’mores recipes. You don’t have to stick to graham crackers — replace them with a favorite cookie. Fudge stripes are great to try … use a fudge-striped cookie for one side and a chocolate chip cookie for the other one.
