I know that the last thing on your mind is holiday cards, but now is probably a great time to stock up on them. The generic greetings tend to be the same, so you can get great deals on Christmas…
The folks over at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls tell me that by Jan. 10th, most people will have already broken their New Year’s resolutions. (Jan. 17 is sort of the unofficial date, however.) I’m guessing that’s one of the reasons gym memberships drop drastically in price and workout wear becomes much more affordable. As you shop for new gear, consider tips from color expert Kate Smith who says, “Wearing red will make you more productive when doing an activity as it represents the color of physicality, which stimulates muscular movement and strength. Green will boost your mood and decrease your perception of the exertion level, making you more likely to exercise, and to exercise more vigorously.”
Stores like Dick’s Sporting Goods will be offering big discounts on equiptment, while Marshalls has everyday discounts (I spotted a pair of Head workout pants with a price tag of $45 selling for $16.99).
Another item to keep an eye out for would be fitness trackers. There are a slew of pricey new models, go back a model or two for big savings.
